Care

Learn how to safely remove Velvora gel nail strips using the oil/soak method. Gentle removal protects your natural nails and keeps them healthy for your next set.

Oil/soak removal method (recommended)

+ Step-by-step
  1. Apply cuticle or coconut oil generously around cuticle and sidewalls.
  2. Let sit for 60–90 seconds to soften adhesive.
  3. Slide a wooden cuticle stick gently under one side; lift slowly, adding more oil as needed.
  4. Work gradually toward the center — never force. Reapply oil if resistance is felt.
  5. Once removed, wipe away residue with oil or cleanser.
Never peel off dry: peeling can remove nail layers and cause thinning.

Using acetone (optional)

+ When to use

If adhesive is stubborn, you may use acetone wraps:

  1. Saturate cotton with acetone remover.
  2. Place on nail, wrap with foil or clip, wait 5–10 minutes.
  3. Lift gently with cuticle stick; reapply oil after.
Acetone works quickly but can dry nails and skin. Always follow with cuticle oil.
