Hi, I’m Rachel, Founder of Velvora
I grew up in the UK but spent almost a decade living in Colombia, where getting a fresh manicure was part of everyday life. It was quick, affordable, and easy to fit in.
Back in the UK, regular salon trips became harder to keep up with and started feeling more like an investment than a little luxury.
With eczema-prone skin and naturally weak nails, every gel or acrylic appointment left my nails worse off. Covering the damage became a cycle that was time-consuming and costly.
Then came the game changer: nail wraps. Salon-quality nails at home in minutes with minimal damage. UK options were limited, so in 2025 I started Velvora to make nail wraps that are easy, affordable, healthy, and look like they came straight from the salon.
