ohora sells semi-cured gel nail strips: real gel that arrives soft, is pressed onto the nail and is then hardened under a lamp. Its product instructions say to cure the strips one to three times under the ohora gel lamp, with the timer set to 45 or 60 seconds.
The ohora.com store is run as ohora usa from City of Industry, California. It prices in US dollars (a single design was $16 when we checked), its shipping policy describes standard shipping within the continental US, and its store settings list the US as the only country it ships to.
ohora is still available in the UK through some stockists. PureSeoul, which has shops in London and Oxford, listed 30-strip ohora sets at £13.90 and £16.90 and described them as lasting up to two weeks.
What to look for in an ohora alternative
Semi-cured strips from different brands look alike in the packet, so it helps to compare the same handful of facts for each one.
- Set size: count the strips and the widths. Most UK sets have 20 strips in mixed sizes; the ohora sets sold in the UK have 30.
- Cure time: semi-cured strips need a UV or LED lamp, usually for around 60 seconds a hand. Pre-cured wraps need no lamp at all.
- Wear: read the claim as the brand states it, and check it says the same thing everywhere on the page.

Dashing Diva's semi-cured range is called Glaze. On dashingdiva.com a Glaze set was $15 for 32 strips with a prep pad, nail file and manicure stick. The brand says to cure once for 60 seconds under its mini LED lamp, states wear of up to 14 days and describes removal with cuticle oil.
ohora's own product page listed a design at $16 and gave curing steps, but no strip count and no wear figure. UK stockist listings describe 30 strips.
