What are semi-cured gel nail strips?

Semi-cured gel nail strips are real gel polish, cured to around 80 per cent in production. You press them on, trim the excess, and finish the cure at home under a UV or LED lamp for 60 seconds.

Every Velvora set has 20 strips in a range of widths, a nail file and a manicure stick. They are HEMA free, vegan and cruelty-free, and come off with a few drops of cuticle oil, with no acetone and no soaking.

How long do gel nail strips last?+

Velvora gel nail strips last up to 14 days on fingernails, and often longer on toes, when applied to clean, dry nails and cured fully.

Do gel nail strips need a UV lamp?+

Yes. Semi-cured gel strips set under a UV or LED lamp in about 60 seconds, which is what gives them a hard, long-lasting finish. Nail polish strips are the no-lamp option.

Do gel nail strips damage your nails?+

Applied and removed as directed, they are designed to be gentle on natural nails. They come off with cuticle oil and a wooden stick, so there is no acetone, drilling or scraping.

Are gel nail strips cheaper than a salon?+

For the same number of manicures, usually yes. A set costs less than half a typical £32 salon gel visit, and the nail cost calculator works it out on your own figures.
