Where to buy gel nail strips in the UK

By Velvora · Checked 9 October 2026

In short

In the UK you can buy gel nail strips on the high street, on Amazon and direct from brands. Boots sells MoYou London semi-cured strips, Mylee, whose gel wraps are pre-cured, is stocked by Boots and Superdrug, and Amazon lists many marketplace sets. Velvora sells direct at velvora.co.uk, with UK delivery by Royal Mail.

Gel nail strips at Boots and Superdrug

Boots lists MoYou London gel nail strips on boots.com. When we checked, a set was £14.99 for 20 strips in various widths with a nail file and wooden stick, and the listing says a UV or LED lamp is needed and not included.

Mylee's gel wraps are fully pre-cured, so they need no lamp. Mylee's own site has a Boots store finder, and Superdrug has listed Mylee wraps at £13.99 a set. Stock varies by store, so check the retailer's website before you make a trip.

Gel nail strips on Amazon UK

Amazon UK lists a wide range of sets, from brand stores such as heyhae (£9.99 to £14.99 when we checked) to lower-priced marketplace sellers such as JMEOWIO (£6.99 to £8.49) and AutyaMee (£6.99 to £7.99 for 20 strips). Some listings describe sets that need no lamp or cure in sunlight, so read what you are actually buying.

A best-seller badge tells you a set is selling well. It does not tell you the strip count, the cure type or who the seller is, so it is worth checking those yourself.

What to check on a cheap marketplace set

A low price can be good value, but marketplace listings vary a lot. Check these before you add to basket.

  • Strip count and sizes: how many strips, and in how many widths. 20 in mixed sizes is common for UK brands.
  • HEMA statement: look for a clear statement and a full ingredient list, not just a keyword in the title.
  • Cure type: semi-cured strips need a UV or LED lamp; pre-cured wraps and polish strips do not. Be wary of vague cure instructions.
  • Seller location and dispatch: where the seller ships from, and how long delivery takes to the UK.
  • Reviews: read recent reviews with photos and look for how many days of wear people report, rather than relying on the star average.
  • Returns: for most online orders you have 14 days to cancel under UK consumer law, but check who handles the return.

Buying direct from a brand

Most UK strip brands sell direct from their own websites, including MoYou London, Hello Nails, Holy Grail Nail, Holy Gels, Maniko, Mylee and Velvora. Buying direct usually gives you the full range, the brand's own instructions and a direct line to its customer service.

Free delivery thresholds differ: when we checked, Mylee and Velvora offered free UK delivery over £35, MoYou London and Hello Nails over £40, Holy Grail Nail from £39.99 and Maniko over £49.
