How to Apply?+
- Prepare: Shape your nails and push back cuticles. Cleanse each nail with an alcohol wipe to remove all oils for better adhesion.
- Select & Apply: Choose the correct strip size for your nail. Apply it close to the cuticle without touching the skin, and smooth down firmly.
- Trim: Fold the excess strip over the nail tip and file downwards in a single direction to remove it.
- Cure: Place your nails under a UV/LED lamp for 60 seconds to harden the strips to a durable, high-gloss finish.
How to Remove?+
- Pop a bit of cuticle oil around the edges of each nail strip.
- Using the manicure stick, gently work around the edges to start lifting the strip.
- Once an edge has lifted, slide the stick underneath and peel the strip off. If it feels stuck at all, just add a little more oil.
No harsh chemicals or acetone required.
Tips & Tricks+
Before You Apply
- Start Clean: Wash & dry hands well before use. Skip oils & creams.
- Avoid Stray UV: UV light sets gel strips. Keep strips sealed; once opened, keep away from UV lamps and sunlight.
During Application
- Stretch it Out: Gently stretch for a perfect fit (with clean hands).
- No Overlap: To prevent lifting, place above cuticle (never on skin).
- Keep it Real: Strips aren’t extensions. Trim to natural nail length.
- Cut Before, Shape After: Trim before curing, file after for clean edges.
- Press for Perfect Edges: Use the wooden stick to avoid lifting - gently roll with the round end, & gently press with the flat end.
After Curing
- Cure Twice: One cure is good. Two cures? Flawless.
- Patience Pays: No water, soaps or oils for 3 hours = max hold.

Gel nail strips: good to know
What are semi-cured gel nail strips?+
Semi-cured gel nail strips are real gel polish that's been partly cured before it reaches you. You press one on at home and finish it under a UV or LED lamp in about 60 seconds. You might also hear them called gel nail wraps or gel nail stickers.
How long do Velvora gel nail strips last?+
Up to 14 days on fingernails, and often longer on toes. The secret is starting with clean, dry nails and giving them a full cure under the lamp. Wear rubber gloves for the washing up and they'll look their best for longer.
Do gel nail strips damage your nails?+
They're designed to be gentle on your natural nails, as long as you put them on and take them off as directed. The main thing is never to pick or force one off dry. Add a few drops of cuticle oil around the edges first and let it peel away gently.
Do I need a UV or LED lamp?+
Yes, for gel strips you do. About 60 seconds under a UV or LED lamp sets the gel hard and glossy. No lamp yet? Our starter kit comes with a mini one. Or try our nail polish strips, which need no lamp at all.
How do you apply Velvora gel nail strips?+
Start with clean, dry nails and pick the strip that fits each one. Smooth it on from cuticle to tip, trim off the extra, then cure it under a UV or LED lamp for 60 seconds. File the edge to shape and you're done, all in about ten minutes.
How do you remove gel nail strips?+
With cuticle oil, not acetone. Add a few drops around each edge, give it a moment to sink in, then gently lift the strip with a wooden stick and peel it away. If it feels stuck, add a little more oil rather than forcing it.
Are Velvora strips safe, and what are they made of?+
They're made from real semi-cured gel, and every set is HEMA free and TPO free, vegan and cruelty-free. In the box you'll find 20 strips in different widths, plus a nail file and a manicure stick.
